Welcome to the Phoenix Centre

The Phoenix Centre for Children and Families is a children’s mental health treatment centre run by a volunteer Board of Directors and funded by the provincial government.

Currently, The Phoenix Centre has 12 full time therapists and 19 Child and Youth Counselors working with children, youth, and their families to improve their mental health and well-being. Phoenix Centre supports and services are available across Renfrew County, as we have offices located in five communities. The Phoenix Centre is affiliated with many organizations locally, provincially, and nationally.

1 IN 5

Children's Mental Health Week - May 2 - May 9, 2010

1 in 5 kids in Ontario struggles with their mental health. Although a child or youth who's depressed or angry or anxious may feel isolated, he or she is not alone.  The problem is much bigger than most of us realize. One out of every five children and youth under 19 struggles with a diagnosable emotional, mental or behavioural disorder.  These problems are painful, serious and very real.
