Volunteer Opportunities
At the Phoenix Centre, many of our programs depend on community members who volunteer their time and strengths with our agency. Without the support of volunteers, our signature events would not achieve the successes they do. We value our volunteers as an integral part of our organization. In 2007, nearly 100 volunteers assisted with our programs and fundraising events, including The Friends and Neighbours Club, The Phoenix Warrior Poker Run, The Incredible Race, The Parade of Lights, and other initiatives!
While many of our volunteers get involved because community involvement is a requirement for their high school or college diplomas, others see volunteering with our organization as an opportunity to meet new people with shared interests! In addition to enhancing your resume, and increasing your leadership and communication skills, volunteering with The Phoenix Centre is a great way to give back to the community!
