Outreach Services

 

Respite Care Program
The Respite Care Program offers unique services for children, adolescents, and their families. This program provides families with a strategic break in care from stressful situations, and guided recreationally experiences for children and adolescents presenting high risk or anti-social behaviours. This day-program is available on weekends, one weekend per month for the following age groups: 7- 10 years, 11 -13 years, and 14 -17 years. The Respite Care Program is facilitated in Pembroke, Ontario, and receives referrals from community professionals, guardian(s) and caregivers for children and youth residing throughout the county. 
 
A great variety of services and activities are offered participants at the program, some of which have included:
 
On-Site:
   Group games and challenges
   Use of game systems, billiards, air hockey, and foosball tables
   Movie night
   Creative arts and crafts
   Ball hockey
   Music and Movement Groups
   Community Services’ Presentations
   Obstacle courses
   Basketball
   Skateboarding
