Father Attachment: Implications for Parenting and Daycare
Presented by Sir Richard Bowlby
Sir Richard is the son of Sir John Bowlby, who is regarded as the father of attachment theory. Sir Richard is not a clinical person, but for the last 20 years he has been addressing the issue of attachment and fatherhood, relating his own life experience as well as bringing some of his father’s experiences and findings. He will be focusing primarily on fatherhood and the implications of what we know about fathers and how this impacts resources like day care and early years centres.
Participants will hear Sir Richard’s perspectives and have an opportunity to ask questions.

Policy Statements Advocating Transformation of Child and Youth Mental Health Services
Children's Mental Health Ontario has developed four position statements (PDFs below) with reccomendations that are intended to inform decision making within the Government of Ontario, and assist in mobilizing all stakeholders to pursue and embrace reforms that ensure every child and youth can get the mental health help they need, when they need it, as close to home as possible.

ME Mag - A Teen Health Website - Officially Launches
ME Mag was developed by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit in consultation with teens across the region. Their goal is to provide straight-forward, accurate information on general health issues and other topics that relate to teens. Touching on a wide range of issues from alcohol and drugs to piercings and cybersmarts, and featuring video and other interactive content, this site is a must-see for all teens aged 13 to 18.
